This adventurous event begins at 9 AM at Grays Crossing and combines paddling fun with environmental action. \nTeams will navigate the creek to remove blockages and collect trash left behind by the spring thaw. Bring water-appropriate clothing\, gloves\, and small hand tools to help with branch and debris removal. All waste will be consolidated at Grays for proper disposal by the park service.

DESCRIPTION:Volunteers welcome! Join us at Gray’s Crossing on August 22 as we wade into the creek to remove tires from the water. FoK has removed over 1000 tires in the past and we are ready to grab some more! \nWhat to bring: Canoes and kayaks would be a huge help! We will be in the water to reach the tires but the canoes and kayaks will transport the tires back to the trail to be picked up. \nWater shoes are highly suggested to wear in the water on the slippery rocks. \nDon’t forget: Sunscreen\, bug spray\, and drinking water for yourself.
