Great morning adding trout to the Kayaderosseras at Kelley Park! Lots of fun, lots of hands helping, and lots of new trout. Thank you to all the volunteers and Avery’s Trout Hatchery. Between today’s trout and last weekend’s tree planting at Axe Factory Preserve, we’re re-establishing important pieces in and along the creek. After taking next weekend off, Friends of the Kayaderosseras will pivot from adding missing pieces towards removing unwanted threats to the creek. On May 15 we’ll get together for the spring Creekside Clean-up (removing trash), and on May 21 we’ll do the creek-tenders paddle (removing debris that could impedes kayaks and canoes).
