More about the big event
Join the Friends of the Kayaderosseras on Saturday, September 13th for our annual Pedal the Creek bike tour. This year, we’re excited to share NEW starting and end points and two beautiful ride options along the historic and scenic Kayaderosseras Creek. Here’s some more information on the event:
- Riders may arrive any time after 7:30am. We are holding in-person registration then, so tell your friends it’s not too late to join! (cash or check only for day-of registration).
- Parking will be available at the Ballston Spa Village Pool. This is right next to Kelley Park, where the rides start and end.
- For those participating in the 50-mile ride: We will have a quick meeting at the Kelley Park pavilion at 8:15, and riders will depart at 8:30.
- For those participating in the 25-mile ride: We will have a quick meeting at the Kelley Park pavilion at 8:45, and riders will depart at 9:00. The 25-mile route has changed, but the updated route is available here.
- There will be a stop during the ride for those who need it, located at the Cottrell-Harrington Park along Rt.29 in Rock City Falls. Friends of the Kayaderosseras maintains this park, and we believe it’s a beautiful place to pause during the ride.
- Please join us afterwards for lunch, courtesy of Friends of the Kayadeross members, along with generous donations from local sponsors.
Please email PedalTheCreek@kayadeross.org with any questions.
The Rides
We’re offering two ride options this year, departing from Kelley Park in Ballston Spa.
Volunteers Needed
We need all the help we can get to make this event a success! We spend hours planning, promoting, and prepping for our bike tour and the meal provided by FoK afterwards at the pavilion, so there is a lot of opportunity to lend a hand – No biking necessary! Send us an email at pedalthecreek@kayadeross.org to learn more.
